Most of us have seen numerous adverts promoting programs that will earn us yachts and mansions for only a few dollars investment. Too good to be true? Unfortunately yes. Most of the time you will waste time and money with these programs. So is there a way to make a full time income from only working online a few hours per day?

Well the answer is yes there is a way to make money online. But now the bad news is there is no quick fix you’ll need to work at it. I takes hard work and focus to succeed. I started online marketing because I had to. I worked 12-18 hours a day at the beginning. And it took several months before I could cut back and spend time with my family. The reason i had to work so hard was that i was trying to do it alone without any advice or help.

The first thing you need to do is to sit down and have a long hard think about what you want from life. I would bet that most of you will at first think about the fast cars and mansions and the celebrity lifestyles that are depicted in many aspirational adverts. However think harder, these are things you would like to have not what you want from life.

What about watching your children grow up, meeting them from school, spending afternoons with your wife or husband doing what you want to do. Taking the morning off to visit an exhibition without being worried about what the boss will say. Think about being self reliant and not having to wait for a monthly wage from your employer. If you can be realistic about what matters then you will make an income online.

Ok so now you know what you want it’s time to look for a strategy that will work. The fist thing to do is to get yourself a strong foundation in place. Your foundation should be a steady reliable form of income. Once you have that income in place then you build on it. It ’s a lot like building a house start with strong foundations then add walls and finally a roof.

When I started I created my foundation site around Adsense, Amazon and Clickbank. All are strong programs that have a long history of paying out on time. I create sites then promote them using articles and Web 2.0 resources. My whole focus with these site is getting traffic to them. Once the income has built up and the visitors are coming then it’s time to move onto the walls.

When it comes to building your next level of income you can afford to take a few more risks. Speculating in domain names or flipping websites might be ideal income streams to add to your portfolio of sites. These “walls” should have a bit of a fun element involved. They are the type of projects that could make you a heap of money if done correctly.

The final part of your strategy should be the roof. This is here you take every thing you have learned and use it to create your own products and programs. It might not feel like it now but by the time you have got to this stage you will know a lot more than most people. Be prepared to share that knowledge and the best way of doing that is to create a product.

What is really good about this strategy is that you can get started without spending money. Just by using the free resources available you can start to build up an income. then when you have money coming in start to invest some of the profit to speed up the process.
